You can check out three museums of T. Shevchenko in Kiev for free, but only under condition that you have the City Card. The most vivid of them is the literature memorial museum of Taras Shevchenko. Despite many years of hardship and sufferings Ukraine was still attracting its Kobzar – Taras Shevchenko. When numerous arrests were finished, he came to the country intending to settle there for good. But he was taken again into custody and delivered to Kiev, where the competent authorities urgently recommended him to go back to St. Petersburg. While the authority was preparing the documents for departure, Shevchenko found for himself a house in Pryorka (historical name of the area in the western part of Obolon district in Kiev). It was the last period of T. Shevchenko’s life on the territory of Ukraine.
T. Shevchenko's literary and memorial house - is the third opening and a second memorial museum dedicated to the life of Taras Shevchenko in Kiev. Hata called "Priorke" was built in the 1850s and the writer lived here in his last visit to Kiev.
The museum exhibition displays the life of Shevchenko Kiev outskirts second half of the nineteenth century. Here you can find dishes, traditional costumes, photographs and paintings, furniture and other utensils - those items that surrounded Shevchenko and his contemporaries.How to get there:

On the territory of the former Soviet Union the Aviation Museum in Zhuliany is the second by the quantity of singular and experimental machines – only the Monino air forces Museum (Russia) surpasses it.

A stonewall, characteristic of the architecture of the Cossack era, was constructed during the time of Hetman Ivan Mazepa's rule, the end of the XVII - the beginning of the XVIII century. Today the Hetmanate Museum is located here.
