The National Museum of Ukrainian History invites you to the author's excursion: Weapons and military equipment in the collection of the National Museum of Ukrainian History: from ancient times to the present During the tour, you will get acquainted with the most interesting exhibits of a rich museum weapon collection from the time of the primitive society to the present. These are archaeological finds from different regions of Ukraine: the X-XI century sword. from Poltava region, decorated in Scandinavian and Irish fine traditions; "Romanesque" and "Gothic" swords of the second half of the XIII-XV centuries, decorated with enigmatic inscriptions and images; helmet with chain mail, protective mask and saber from Polovtsian mounds XII-XIII centuries. from Porosy and the Crimean peninsula. This is a Polish memorial saber devoted to the victory over the Turks at the Battle of Vienna in 1683, the traditional swords of Berbers and Tuaregs of North Africa from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. and more.

The author of the tour is a well-known Ukrainian researcher of ancient weapons, candidate of historical sciences Elena Popelnitskaya, head of the department of scientific and publishing activity of the museum.
