From Roman to Jordan: winter holidays of Ukrainians at NMHU
December 23 at the National Museum of History of Ukraine (NMHU) for the first time will conduct a theatrical excursion From Roman to Jordan: winter holidays of Ukrainians, which is timed to the Christmas and New Year holidays. This is a kind of evening excursion, participants of which illuminate their way in the museum with the help of lamps-kagans.
From Roman to Jordan continues a relatively new tradition of regular theatrical evening excursions to the museum, which over the past few months have been complemented with dramatized episodes. Such a format of excursions is unchanged in demand of visitors.
The new excursion will reveal the secrets of the origin of the traditions of celebration and role in the lives of our ancestors of the most famous and most sacred holidays. And numerous theatrical episodes will allow deeper immersion in the atmosphere of Christmas, Nicholas, Roman, Malanka, New Year, Epiphany, and see that they were celebrated differently in traditional Ukrainian culture and among the higher layers of society.
The first tour will be held on Saturday, December 23, at 19:00, and it will end with the opening of the festive exhibition of New Year's Eve.
Also, the tour is repeated on December 28, January 5 and January 20, at about 19:00.
